Who we are
Hello! Hi! How are you? I'm Lomichi! My Chinese Cantonese name is 糯咪糍! “Lomichi” is derived from the Cantonese pronunciation of glutinous rice ball dessert.
My mom’s name is Mia, and the adorable logo you see was hand-drawn by my sister Jamie.
I'm best known for whipping up desserts, especially my personal favorite—glutinous rice ball dessert.
In Taiwan, some call them “muaji” (麻吉) or “mashu” (麻糬); in Japan, they go by Daifuku (大福) or Mochi (もち); and in Hong Kong—my mom’s hometown—everyone simply calls them Lo-mai-chi.
Honestly, it doesn’t really matter what you call them—as long as after you taste one, your mood soars sky-high with sweetness!
The charm of glutinous rice ball dessert lies in their endless variety. They can be filled with whatever you fancy—whether it’s the traditional red bean, sesame, or even ice cream, it’s all up to you!
So, why are my treats so irresistibly delicious?
It’s not magic (though I do wish I knew a little magic), but because I sneak in a dash of love and a generous pinch of heartfelt care while making them. I hope every bite brings a warm, genuine smile to your face.
If you’re looking to add a touch of sweetness to your life, we’d be absolutely delighted to have you give it a try! I can’t wait to bring you a little sweet surprise!
